Esteban Cortes Garcia
Mr Esteban CORTES GARCIA is a bioinformatician and PhD fellow at Paris-Cité University.
He initially joined the Paris Transplant Group in 2017 as a Clinical Research Assistant at the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at Saint Louis Hospital in Paris, France.
He defended his Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics and Modelling in 2021 at the Free University of Brussels, on a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) bulk RNA-sequencing experiment in a kidney allograft biopsy cohort.
He is currently PhD student in the team, specializing in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics. His research interest focuses on (i) patients’ molecular profiling and (ii) digital pathology automation to derive machine learning predictive diagnostic tools as a mean to standardize practices and support clinical diagnostic assessment. Through NGS technology, part of his work is dedicated to the discovery of new molecular targets for drug repurposing.
