Patrick Bruneval
Patrick Bruneval is a professor at the Paris Descartes University and head of the department of Pathology at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital in Paris.
He joined the Paris Transplant Group in 2012.
Dr Bruneval graduated in medicine and pathology from the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France. He soon gained an interest in cardiovascular and renal pathology, both human and experimental, and specialized in cardiac valve pathology as well as in heart and lung transplant pathology.
He has served as president of the European Association Cardiovascular Pathology (AECVP) (2010-2012) and chair of the Pathology Council of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT, 2012-2013). In the capacity of chair of the ISHLT he contributed to the pAMR consensus document.
