Zeynep Demir

Dr Zeynep DEMIR is pediatric hepatologist. She was trained in Pediatric Hepatology and Liver transplant Unit in Necker Enfants Malades Hospital, in Paris.

She joined the Paris Institute for Transplantation and Organ Regeneration since 2019.

Dr Zeynep Demir graduated with the degree of Medical Doctor, and awarded silver medal from the Paris University of Medicine in 2016. She is currently a doctoral student in basic science, in Paris Institute for Transplantation and Organ Regeneration.

 

Her research interest focuses on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying liver transplant rejections, and characterization of rejection profiles. She is investigating through population approach of liver transplantation and the use of innovative transcriptomic methods and analysis tools for liver biopsies to better classify rejection lesions and refine the prediction of the risk of graft loss. 

She was awarded a PhD scholarship from the SFT-Novartis in 2021 for this project. 

She was the co-founder and co-manager of the junior committee of the French Society of Transplantation from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018 to date, she is a member of board of this Society, and involved in a special interest group of Liver intestine-heart and lung transplant committee.
